Ammouliani is the only inhabited island of Chalkidiki, famous because of the numerous of beautiful and isolated beaches and bays. Ammouliani can be reached with the ferry from Tripiti (10 minutes), witch is close to Nea Roda and Ouranoupolis. The small island has only about 600 inhabitants and their main occupation is fishing and tourism.

Via Tripiti, the distance to Thessaloniki is about 130 km. In the village Ammouliani are many Greek taverns and fish restaurants and there is a wide range of accommodation to stay available on the island.
